If you’re living in Sydney you can now get your phone fixed at home.
We’ve all been there, it’s the day before a big event and disaster strikes. Your phone breaks and now you’re without a camera, Google maps, instant banking application and worst of all no one can find you.
There’s no doubt that Apple has an amazing support service for their products. From the Genius Bar in retail stores to their over the phone support, they can sort out repairing your phone with ease. However, sometimes you may need your phone repaired immediately and cost effectively, particularly if you’re out of warranty with Apple or if they need to replace your phone instead of repairing it. If you’re living in Sydney, a brand new, fix your phone at home service has recently launched – a first for the city.
This service delivers technicians to your house, office or even the pub to fix your phone while you lounge around in your PJs, have a meeting or enjoy a beverage. It’s pretty cool.
What you need to be aware of – The important parts
The whole process sounds pretty dreamy, doesn’t it? However, there are a few things that you need to be aware of before using them. First up, if you use this service it’s possible that you could void your phone warranty. If your phone is currently out of warranty then this shouldn’t be an issue – but if you’ve got a phone that’s less than a year old then you should definitely speak to Apple first. fix2U do provide you with a five-year warranty with any repair for peace of mind, though.
Secondly, fix2U only do iPhone repairs at the moment but they will be fixing Android phones soon. Lastly, this service is only available if you live in Sydney. However, they will be launching Australia wide in the future.
Hopefully, there’ll be more services offering this soon, and it’d be even better if Apple gets on board too! In the meantime, here are a few of the cool things that fix2U in particular offer:
They quote online
There are no surprises when you get your phone fixed by fix2U. Before you book a repair, you will be asked to fill out an online form that will help determine what the problem is and how they can fix it. You’ll be provided with an estimated cost so you know just how much money you’re going to have to take out of your fun-fund to get your phone back on.
They can fix (almost) anything
Don’t stress and put your mini screwdriver down, fix2U will fix most of the common problems that occur when you own an iPhone. They can fix cracked screens, problems with the back camera, problems with the front camera, problems with charging, problems with your battery, sound or microphone problems, problems with your buttons and problems that arise from water damage. Phew!
They are super-fast
Most mobile phone repairs will take 30-minutes so you can even get your phone fixed during your lunch break. Some repairs will take longer or be completed faster depending on the model and the extent of the damage. Regardless of how long your repair takes you’ll definitely save travel time and that’s got to be a win.
Quality repairs and quality technicians
Each repair is done with high-quality parts that they’ve sourced from around the world. Hopefully, after one visit your phone will keep working for a long time.
